Every line goes further back: the Apollo 11 launch, the night the Eiffel Tower opened, Florence in 1504, the Ides of March, the Great Pyramid, the painted cave at Lascaux and the last afternoon of the dinosaurs. Tap DISPATCH and a train crosses the era's railway poster to bring its fares home; every car you buy is a carriage on that train, and every 25th makes the line an express. Hire Katherine Johnson, Gustave Eiffel, Leonardo, Sosigenes, Hemiunu, the Lascaux painter and Mary Anning to run the lines for you, fit them with first class, dining and observation cars, and keep earning while you are away. About an hour and a quarter in, Georges Lemaître conducts the last train, one way, to the Big Bang. Saved in the browser; progress from the old agency carries over.",

    "description": "A round of nine procedurally generated minigolf holes. Every one is checked before you see it: a hole-in-one is always possible, but never by simply pointing at the cup — the ace window is a couple of degrees wide and you have to find it. Slopes push the ball, bumpers throw it back, sand kills it, water costs a stroke, and the cup spits the ball out if it arrives too fast. Par is measured by playing each hole rather than guessed, and the nine are ordered gentlest first. Drag to putt or aim with the arrow keys. Share a round by its seed.",

You write one short rulebook for a robot — plain if-then lines, read top to bottom and then repeated — and the game tests it against hundreds of mazes you have never seen, then shows you the one that beats it, with your robot's path drawn on it. Eight stages take you from a straight corridor to the wall-following rule that solves every maze, then start taking the robot's senses away and make you rebuild it blind. Below them is The Deep, an endless run of handicaps drawn from an exhaustive table of which vocabularies can solve a maze at all — so every round is known to be beatable, and tells you in how many lines.",

The maze is the original one — 240 pellets and four energizers — and the ghosts are not four copies of \"walk toward Pac-Man\": Blinky targets your tile, Pinky aims four ahead to cut you off (with the original's overflow bug when you face up), Inky doubles a vector through Blinky, and Clyde loses his nerve inside eight tiles. Scatter and chase waves, the dot counters that release each ghost, cornering, tunnel slowdown and Blinky's endgame speed-up are all in. A strip under the board counts down to the next scatter — the window the arcade never showed you — and flipping on the target overlay makes every ghost draw a line to the tile it has chosen, so you can watch the most-studied AI in games decide. A practice mode slows the ghosts if you want to learn the maze first.",

Rolling resistance, a restitution measured for steel on wood, and a 60 Hz sim split into substeps short enough that a fast ball can never cross a 6 mm wall without hitting it. On iOS the motion permission is asked from the Start button, beta and gamma are rotated by the screen angle so landscape does not tip the board sideways, and a Re-zero button means you never have to hold the phone flat. No sensor: the mouse or the arrow keys tilt the same board, to the same limits. Because the date is the seed an archive costs nothing, so every past day is still playable, which the commercial versions of this genre cannot do. Nothing here is hand-written per day and nothing is authored: each puzzle is generated and then handed to a solver before it is shown. Lanterns and Ledger must come out by deduction with no guessing; Tessera and Lanterns are counted exhaustively for a single answer; Rungs is a breadth-first count of shortest chains, so exactly one ladder of that length exists. "title": "Bubble Break — a bubble wrap incremental",
    "description": "An incremental about popping bubble wrap on your coffee break. Press bubbles one at a time until your thumb is strong enough to swipe, hold down on the thick ones, grab the gold before the machine does its rounds, chase sugar rushes and pop zippers that open whole rows. Quit your job for calluses, finish orders to take more with you, and work your way from the office desk through a warehouse and a factory to a city on moving day, where one sheet holds tens of millions of bubbles and a loop of cordon tape pops a million at once, and on to the whole countryside under one sheet, with combine harvesters. Popping builds up static until lightning jumps across the wrap. Now and then a special delivery comes in: jumbo wrap that squashes before it pops, a fragile sheet round a vase whose print must not be touched, and shrink wrap with a heat gun right behind you. Then wrap the world and pop it, and everything after it.",

    "title": "Firefly Jar",
    "description": "A cozy incremental made of summer nights. Sweep the jar, which follows your mouse or finger, through the fireflies as fast as you like. Carry a full jar to the lantern before dawn takes it, and spend the light on a skill tree that is a real tree of hanging lanterns. Turning the season is the prestige: the crown goes dark, the roots keep tree rings, and every season brings something new to do instead of a bigger number. Will-o'-wisp trails lay paths home across the autumn moor, icicles split the light into coloured beams and an aurora dips into the winter meadow, spring buds keep light and pay it back with interest, and Midsummer grows the meadow into a forest until the fireflies rise into the Milky Way. Along the way a field journal fills with the real species you learn to tell by their light: glow-worms in the grass, the steady blue ghost, the synchronous fireflies of the Smoky Mountains that flash in bursts all together, and the femme fatale that fakes other species' signals to eat them. Every night has its own sky: puddles after rain that double what flies over them, wind that herds the fireflies to one edge, fog, a storm far off whose lightning the fireflies answer, and a moon that waxes and wanes, with a forecast after each night. At the end the lantern tree goes up into the sky as a constellation, and another year starts brighter. The meadow, the trees, the frogs and owls and thunder and the soundtrack are all made in code, with a tune of its own for each season: electric piano and guitar in summer, a harp waltz in autumn, a music box in winter and a flute in spring. About two hours from the first jar to the credits; progress is saved in the browser.",
